Engaging Online 1-1 Law Lessons: Quizzes, Videos, Timed Competitions, and Real-World Case Studies

My lessons follow the PPP (Presentation, Practice, Production) method I learned from my 120-hour TEFL course. Each session begins with a clear presentation of legal concepts, followed by guided practice through interactive exercises and case study writing. We also analyse past exam questions and apply topics to real-life news to ensure a deep understanding. Collaboration and engagement are central to my teaching approach, drawing from my extensive experience in both volunteer teaching and professional experience in quasi legal roles and now as an occupational therapist in the NHS.

To enhance 1-1 lessons i can use polls and quizzes utilising tools like mentimeter
or Kahoot to create engaging, real-time assessments that reinforce learning and ensure comprehension. These interactive elements can be used at the beginning of lessons to gauge prior knowledge or at the end to review key concepts.

lessons try to integrate films or videos into session plans by showing clips from relevant documentaries, movies, or news reports. These visual aids can bring legal principles to life, providing context and real-world examples.
