Teacher of Mathematics for year 7 to 13 learners. With over 13 years experience

I used to be a top student vin class, but at year 12 I suddenly dropped. I was sick and missed some classes. After trying to catch up and not knowing what I was doing wrong I got frustrated with the overwhelming expectations from my teachers and parents. At that point I go to learn how the struggling students felt. This experience has shaped me as a teacher to do my best to identify students learning gaps and work out a way with them on closing the gaps.
