It should be an interactive session that involves dialogue. Philosophy seeks understanding of everything and is the only discipline that reopens all ''ism'' for further understanding. It is not limited nor confined to any discipline, therefore all subjects that seeks to be cleared or better understood can be revisited.
Every thought takes the basic form of thesis, through dialogue and critical examination we can arrive at the antithesis and then to synthesis. The beauty of philosophy makes it possible that this synthesis can further be reopened as a thesis for more discussion.
Am primarily influenced by Kantian philosophy which serves as a mediation between the two different schools of thoughts on source of human knowledge, the Rationalists and Empiricists. I have a better view of how both different camps views or approach themes as both where reconciled in Immanuel Kant. yet the problem of philosophy never ended as he created another based on appearance and the in-itself.
Therefore, philosophical problems are not dogmatic and always opens room for clearer discuss and accepts better dialogues or arguments which are logical and not based on appeal.
To be able to be a philosopher, one needs to get ride of all predispositions and presuppositions as Descartes did and approach things the way they are and ask questions for clarity. By doing so, one is able to arrive at a judgement that is free from bias or inherent thinking.
Like i said ealier, everything is subject to discussion until it becomes clearer and we arrive at truth
