Biology teacher delivering lessons to students of all ages

I have recently graduated from the University of Bolton and Psychology was the subject of my masters. I have a special interest in the field of mental health. In the growth and development of new educators, a teaching mentor is essential. To help new teachers negotiate the difficulties of their career, they offer direction, encouragement, and insightful advice. A teaching mentor is crucial because they operate as a link between theory and practice, which cannot be emphasized enough. Mentors can give instances from their own experience that serve as good teaching aids thanks to their experience. I have looked after a mentally challenged relative of mine for a long time. I have excellent communication, listening and observational skills. I am a great communicator both face to face and telephone. I always prioritize quality of the health care provided to the clients. I have strong time management skills and organizational skills. I always make a to do list whether it is for my work or studies. That helps me to manage my time and complete my tasks effectively. When I was working as a Healthcare assistant, I had one patient who was unable to talk. I had to give food to him, do his personal care and transfer him to bed using hoist. I organized it in a way where I can carry out my task effectively. First, I gave him food and then I did his personal care, changed his clothes, and transferred him to the bed using the hoist. I can work well under pressure. It is a skill that I strongly possess. Once, when I finished my shift and I was about to go home, my patient caught my hand and he was not letting go of my hand. I didn’t panic. I stood like that for some time. I responded in a very calm way. I listened to him carefully and reminded him that he is safe. After sometime, he became ok and then I went home only after consoling him. I always carry out instructions and written procedures and I consider it as my core responsibility. I can be trusted with confidential information. I think before I speak. I listen to my clients attentively and apologizes when I am wrong. Another skill of mine that makes me stand out from others is that I am Empathic. This great skill makes me to sense and understand the emotions of others, I always put myself in the emotional shoes of the customer, patient or clients.
