Approachable Music teacher with years of experience

My name is Amy and I have a PGCE in Music education, as well as a Bachelor of Music degree with honours which I obtained from a top UK Conservatoire. I am first and foremost a musician who plays Violin, Viola and Piano and I am able to teach these instruments to Grade 7-8.
I have 15 years of experience working in the classroom teaching Music and my specialisms lie within A level and GCSE Music. I am able to tutor students in all three areas of the course- performance, exam preparation and composition.
I am also a Grade 5 theory tutor and can prepare students for this exam.

Learning music can be daunting and quite overwhelming as it is like learning a different language, and my aim is to make learning really fun and engaging. I will always encourage and support students and re-think learning styles if barriers are encountered.
I am a passionate musician and educator and I have worked with students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds for a number of years.
