Qualified Teacher with a focus on building confidence and competence in Biology, Chemistry and Physics

I am a full time tutor, because I love teaching and working with young people. It's really important to me that my students feel supported and encouraged in their studies, and my focus is on working with my students and their families to achieve their goals, whether that is to improve their grades at school or to get a work placement or University offer. I always tailor my teaching to the right level for my student; my teaching is quite low pressure, as students learn best when they are relaxed. I think it is really important to have fun while you learn, and I never want my students to be bored, so I make sure my teaching is applicable to real life situations.

I am a qualified teacher with over 7 years experience. I have taught in schools and am familiar with both the English and Scottish Education systems, offering Biology, Chemistry and Physics to students ages 11-18. I also teach maths and science to primary school aged students who are preparing for entrance exams. I have QTS status and a PGCE in secondary science, as well a B.Sc in Natural Sciences from Durham University, and an MA in Leadership in Education, and an MSc in Psychology. I currently teach Sunday-Thursday, both online and in person.
