Native tutor for all ages and skill levels

Advert description
I’m a relaxed yet devoted tutor, adapting my lessons to the goals of my students, I am fully committed to my pupil’s success. Having grown up in both France and England and having completed my education in both countries, I have a native level in both languages as well as expert knowledge of the GCSE and A level exam board’s requirements.

My approach to teaching is thorough, and balanced across the four main skills required to master a language: listening, reading, writing and speaking. I believe in the complimentary interconnectedness of all four and in the importance of strengthening all bases in order to nurture one’s language progression as best as possible. For my own foreign language endeavours, I love to listen to podcasts, watch YouTube, write, read books, and speak as much as possible in the target language. I believe in fun, engaging and personally relevant learning resources as I have found that authenticating one’s learning makes for a more exciting journey, in turn, bolstering your retention of the language. In my lessons, you can expect to learn via a tailored mix of resources that focus on learning new language skills, honing in on your accuracy of said skill, and finally focusing more so on fluency by putting your acquisitions into practice.

When I teach, I aim to empower students and give them tools to develop an independency in French. Speaking a new language is so much more than memorising a new set of words; it’s about navigating one’s thoughts, solving problems and relying on one’s own abilities to interact with the world. My philosophy is that languages are “felt” and not just “spoken”. I hope to give students the confidence to achieve this.
