Advert description
I am a movement and yoga teacher with the belief that the most valuable gift of a movement practice is to witness a felt sense in the body, moving away from rigid ideals of how one should be moving and perceived limitations. It is from this foundation that I practice and offer a somatic style of movement and yoga that has at its heart playfulness, curiosity, creativity and exploration of possibilities.
I discovered yoga in 2008, whilst working as a children's books graphic designer and it became a way for me to experience some peace in my body and mind.
I first qualified as a vinyasa yoga teacher in 2012 and since then I have continued to practice various forms of yoga and movement, and to study the human body and mind.
I believe that we all have untapped potential for movement, that it is a form of self-expression and that when we keep exploring with a curious mind, we give ourselves permission and the opportunity to unearth the multi-dimensionality of body movement. Using the breath as a gateway into the practice, the ground and space around for support, I create and teach movement sequences that combine traditional and non-traditional ways of moving, all of which are weaved through tantalising music.
I teach open and corporate classes in London. I also offer face-to-face and on-line private one-to-one and small groups private sessions.
