Advert description
Troubleshooting is a major part of teaching, and it is an essential tool that will allow a teacher to effectively target any weaknesses and bad habits. I try to keep the sessions as fun and engaging as possible while being strictly focused on constant progress. Music is a life long journey that requires patience and discipline, however my approach is very personal and focused on enjoying every moment.

I am a professional guitarist, electric and acoustic, with my main field being jazz improvisation. I have had three years of private tuition and also hold a certificate from Berklee College of Music.I have a passion for harmony and technique, as well as for sharing my knowledge and experience with aspiring guitarists and musicians.

I try to approach the lessons in a healthy way, aiming to keep the musicality alive throughout all the stages.

Learning is a dynamic process, with good and bad periods, and being able to go through the growing pains without being discouraged is key.

My approach in teaching is a combination of the things I am grateful my teachers did for me and the things I wish they had done.

First, we need to build some fundamental technique to make sure that the student can play at least the easiest songs. That happens to prevent them from feeling discouraged during the "bootcamp" and keep the musicality in their life even through the periods of intensive technical and theoretical studies.

Once this is established, we begin with basic theory and visualisation of the major scale on the fretboard, and after that the exploring of musical expression can begin.

I like to alternate between periods of studying theory and periods of studying technique, to keep the excitement levels high, and application and revision of all ideas will come through arrangement lessons on our favourite songs.

Having worked with all ages, levels, and with special needs I have come to realise the importance of patience and the need for creativity when it comes to troubleshooting.
Everyone can learn, as long as both the student and the teacher are dedicated to bring results.

The journey is long, especially with such a unique and complicated instrument such as the guitar, and requires patience, love for the instrument, and dedication to improving little by little, every single day.
