I am a native English speaker looking to help those of you who want to improve their English in a fun, supportive environment!

Advert description
I am currently studying a Ba Hons degree in Language studies, specialising in Applied Linguistics (English Language) and Spanish. I have a GA Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) where I took 5 courses: TEFL Level 5 Fundamental Basics (Advanced) (RQF) course, TEFL Teaching Online and One-to-One course, TEFL Teaching Business English course, TEFL Teaching Other Subjects in English course and TEFL Teaching Exam Preparation IELTS course. This means I have extensive training in teaching English as a second language!

I was briefly a tutor for Spanish GCSE and it was an experience I will never forget. I thrived off seeing the students improving and learning. I took great pride knowing I was helping them enhance their language skills, as I believe that an ability to speak multiple languages is an essential skill to have in today's society. Communication is key in everything that we do, so if I can aid others in their ability to communicate then I feel a great sense of satisfaction. These tutoring sessions only lasted 30 minutes within form time and so it was necessary to be concise and focused within the lessons. I usually focused on helping develop the students’ confidence in communicating/speaking in Spanish, correcting any pronunciation or grammatical errors in a kind and supportive manner. I also ensured I always gave positive feedback where necessary to help with confidence. I also believe it is essential to include fun and interactive realia where possible...after all, who doesn't love to watch a funny video or listen to some music? Incorporating realia (or in other words, any material not specifically designed for language learning) is a great way to immerse yourself in both the language and the culture, which I believe is essential to language learning.

Even if you just want to focus on English for academic or professional circumstances, that is find too...we can work together to tailor your lessons on what you wish to focus on. I will warn you, however...you may be forced to have some fun along the way!
