I would start with a discussion with the student about what they think they need to improve and where they are with their learning, and make a plan with them. I would then create lessons aimed at helping them with the content, mirroring what they’ve learned that week and also include exam questions to identify any other gaps they may not be aware of. I would also encourage them to create independent revision resources each week to provide feedback on how effective it is. My lessons would be interactive with questions and recaps rather than just reading off information. My teaching will be communicative, team based and empathetic to the needs of the student.
