Fluent English Speaker would specialise in working with Asian students

Fluent in English and with an IELTS Life Skills Speaking and Listening B1 level certificate. I lived with an English speaking family in Dubai for nine years helping to raise their children. Since May 2019 I have lived in Scotland with my husband.

My lessons would start with getting to know my students and their current status. I would seek to understand their current level of English and their needs for learning the language.

I would then build a lesson plan based on the above and a time frame to reach each goal.

Kicking off from an agreed starting point I would share the lesson plan with the student and work with them to achieve the goals. We would work together to make sure we were staying on track.

I would work to succeed by encouragement and understanding. Patience is key. Having helped to raise 3 children, I know how important patience is.

I also understand that every student is different and so there is a high possibility that a number of different teaching plans will need to be created.

The fact that in my current job I am continually learning new skills and managing external expectations demonstrate my ability to take the lead in ever changing circumstances and ensure that the required goals are met.

I consider myself to be in a very fortunate position, both with where I live and with my language skills. I would like to help others gain the same opportunities that I have had.
