I have gained some teaching skills and worked with students in the past. For example, during my A-Levels I was assisting a Spanish teacher to help students with their class work and activities. I had 1:1 sessions with some students to help them grow in their Spanish vocabularies. Furthermore, I also helped students with maths. This taught me to be patient and help me with my communication with children. I also helped students when I was in university. I helped students with areas they found difficulty in. For instance, in my final year, I helped a first year student understand some Economic principles by breaking down the theory. I started by giving some definitions to bring clarity and went into more details when she understood the basic concepts. My experience overall, has allowed me to work with different people at different ages which gives me the skill needed to be a great tutor. Additionally, I recognise that every child learns differently and I will teach students according to what is best for them. I will explore different methods of learning such as visual learning, auditory, reading and writing and kinaesthetic learning. This is to ensure that students are learning in the best way that suits them, helps them and produces great results.
