Advert description
English, despite its lack of definitive right or wrong answers, can prove to be a complex subject. However, I view this complexity as an opportunity to cultivate my persuasive writing skills and to explore the depths of this disciplinary field. As an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in English Literature, I have come to realise that there are always fresh perspectives to be discovered when engaging with texts and novels. During my tutoring sessions, I actively encourage my mentees to approach texts from alternative angles, whether by delving into intricate analyses of the writing or by questioning the author's choice of language. Through my experiences as both a learner and a teacher of English, I have developed a sense of empathy towards students who struggle with the subject. I comprehend the intricacies of the course structure and the demands placed upon students within the education system regarding the study of English. Having personally experienced the process of completing GCSEs and A-Levels, I am keen to provide assistance to students who are currently undertaking their GCSE English studies, a task that I also undertook during my own A-Level studies. During this invaluable experience, I had the privilege of actively participating in and supporting students on their journey of profound literary analysis and refined written expression.
