Neptune has been playing classical piano since the age of six and graduated from Leeds College of Music. He received professional music education from esteemed piano department lecturers, Jakob Fichert and Nico De Villiers. Neptune earned a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance in Classical Music with excellent achievements. He is an experienced and passionate music tutor based in Goldthorpe, believing that music is a gift that accompanies us throughout our lives. Neptune is dedicated to inspiring others to achieve their goals, whether it's exams, performances, or even songwriting. 🎹Performance Experience:
Neptune is an internationally acclaimed pianist, having performed in various renowned venues such as Leeds Trinity Church, BBC Radio Concert Hall, and Belgrave Music Hall. He has also participated in the international Besbrode Piano competition.
🏆Student Awards:
Under Neptune's guidance, his students have achieved outstanding accomplishments, including the first runner-up at The 8th Hong Kong International Youth Performance Arts Festival 2020 and 35 awards from the International Youth Artist Music Contest 2020, with three first runners-up.
🎯Teaching Ideology:
Neptune's teaching philosophy focuses on six essential aspects of music: creativity, critical listening, skill and technique, theory understanding, and emotion. Student are encouraged to demonstrate their grasp of music theory, finger coordination, emotional expression, critical listening, and the artistic manner of musicianship during performances.
📚Lesson Arrangement:
Lessons take place in Neptune's grand piano studio in Goldthorpe, or for students within a 20-mile distance, online sessions are available. The first lesson is dedicated to getting to know the student, understanding their musical interests, and determining their goals. Whether aiming for qualifications, learning music technology/production skills, or playing favorite songs, lessons are tailored to help learners achieve their aims. Students are required to prepare a notebook for lessons, along with any relevant books. If needed, the teacher will suggest suitable books after the first class.
