I hold a PhD and a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) respectively from the University of Glasgow and the Northumbria University and am currently a Lecturer at Al-Maktoum College, Dundee with years of experience in academic teaching and research. I am also a Fellow of the Advance HE and hold a PG Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education from University of Dundee, 2021. As part of my engagement with universities of Dundee and Abertay, I taught and supervised international students at PG and PhD levels and undertook and successfully completed collaborative research with leading international contributors from Malaysia, Seri Lanka and Iran. I currently supervise 3 PhD students from Afghanistan, Malaysia, and Somalia two of them have successfully upgraded to the second year of their research. I teach company law, business law, law of contracts, obligations and law of employment as part of HNC/D Business and Management programmes at Al-Makhtoum College and banking law and regulation, securities law and regulations, contractual aspects of finance, FinTech, and international and EU financial law as part of MSc Islamic finance programme at University of Dundee. I also coordinate and teach corporate restructuring, corporate governance, corporate environmental liability Modules at PG level with the University of Abertay and Dundee. I recently designed, coordinated and delivered a successful PG programme of Law and Sustainability in collaboration with the Abertay University following an articulation agreement between the two institutions, the College and the Abertay University. I have excellent student evaluation scores and peer review of my teaching that evidence my teaching skills.
