Advert description
I have a Masters Degree in Primary Education from the University of Glasgow and have been teaching for 5 years now! I have taught a range of stages from Primary 1 to Primary 7 and also have experience working in the secondary schools too. I plan, teach and assess according to the individual and pupil interest and ability shapes my forward planning moving forward. I ensure the planning, teaching and learning across early, first and second level shows pace and progression. I work closely with stage partners to further enhance teaching and learning, and often Team Teach with colleagues.
I am passionately dedicated to the education of a diverse range of students by establishing a positive, productive and inclusive learning environment that fosters and promotes the academic potential and social wellbeing of all.
I am aware of the importance of creating a safe and positive environment to enable all children to reach their full potential and I strive to do this daily. I place the six nurture principles firmly at the heart of all my practices and believe that all behaviours are communication. I believe in creating a climate where pupils feel nurtured, respected and are therefore able to achieve and feel included. I thrive on working as part of a partnership with families and I am dedicated to ensuring that learners in my care benefit from relevant and motivating learning experiences.
I am keen to grow and develop as a Tutor. I am a very conscientious and passionate educator, devoted to the wellbeing of my pupils and developing the whole child of every child in my care. My positive attitude impacts well on pupils, staff and parents, carers alike. I firmly believe that I can make a valuable impact when tutoring 1-1 or in a group setting.
I have experience teaching in the mainstream and ASN setting within North Lanarkshire and West Lothian and I am currently teaching at an independent school in the Glasgow region.
