Highly Skilled and Enthusiastic Art Tutor

As a highly skilled and enthusiastic individual with a passion for art and design I would love to share my expertise with others. Having received exceptional grades for my SQA Examinations in Art and Design at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Level I feel confident in my ability to transfer my knowledge to others and help them further their skills in drawing and improve on techniques and art styles. As someone who has just recently left the Scottish Secondary School curriculum, I understand the hard work and effort that goes into the practical side of the course as well as the written. Furthermore, growing up surrounded by Educational Professionals including my own Mum who has been a Primary School Teacher for her full professional career, I have always had a good understanding and well known knowledge of learning styles e.g. "one size does not fit all." As well as this, I have also been brought up with a child who has learning difficulties. My younger brother was diagnosed with Autism almost 10 years ago, and as a family we have had to adapt to his needs, as he finds conventional learning styles very difficult to grasp. My brother was told from a very young age his fine motor skills would be effected due to his disability, therefore effecting his ability to write and draw. As a result of this I have spent many years trying to teach him basic skills to try and improve his drawing coordination. My little brother is at High School and as a result of my teaching is now one of the best in his class for art, with his work being shown off at school events or Art displays, despite his condition. Showing that finding the right learning style and hard work does pay off. As a tutor I want to help individuals in the same way, prefect and improve on their drawing skills/abilities in a way that they feel most beneficial to their learning needs. Feedback will be given during and after the tutoring session and Homework will be provided also.
