I am a fully qualified teacher of Science from England with 8 years experience in the classroom and teaching remotely

I am a teacher of 8 years from the UK, who is currently living in Costa Rica where I teach in a school and also am a tutor. I have a masters degree in Education and a Batchelor of Science degree in Biology- as my specialism. I also taught all 3 Sciences, and Biology in numerous schools in the UK for the past 8 years. My main goal in the UK was to ensure all students were learning in a comfortable, safe and positive environment. Leading upto examinations, I supported all students in all aspects of preperation, practice and self evaluation. When it comes to teaching Science, I feel extremely confident that I can be of help with all aspects of the syllabus- whether that is writing an essay, or preparing for examinations, or even general explanations of topics you choose. I have a wealth of experience teaching online, and to groups of people also. I am a energetic, fun and outgoing person who wants nothing more than to help others, by sharing my knowledge and skills. I am excited to teach Biology to anyone willing to have a go, and try their best. Science and Biology have always been my passion, and I love nothing more than to share that passion and education with others.
I have years of experience of working with individuals who have a range of abilities, disabilities and interests, and I care and recognise that everyone likes to learn and communicate in a specific way. I have recieved specialist training in ESL also.
I am quick at tailoring/changing the delivery of my knowledge to suit whoever I am presenting it to. I understand (and know the importance) that when engaging with students, different groups/individuals will learn and remember the knowledge they acquire, in a range of different ways. I adapt my lessons to meet the needs of anyone who needs my help.
My lessons are structured, well rehearsed and compatible/accesible for all of my students, recognising the fact that all students learn and gather information in different ways. My main aim is to ensure that all my students have lessons with me, which are fun and engaging, whilst also aquiring new learning, or new concepts. I never like anyone to feel stupid or behind- so no question is too stupid to ask! My lessons are a safe space with no judgement or expectations, except for the student trying their best, with the best efforts - regardless of whether they are right or wrong.
