After Graduating from the Glasgow School of Art in Fine Art: Painting and Printmaking (2015), I was able to use my experience and versatility in marketing as an Art Practitioner with Underbelly, during their “year of the young people” cultural events. I was responsible for developing and delivering inclusive art workshops with a wide range of children from varying backgrounds. Through contributing my knowledge of the field and sharing concepts that I felt would be beneficial to the development of the project alongside my ability to develop working relationships, I was able to create a dynamic learning environment for students to explore and train their ability to confidently convey their ideas in a comfortable environment, in group and one to one setting, whilst maintaining a high standard of communication. This accumulated in a Cultural celebration on Hogmanay, where wicker sculptures I helped design, were burned ceremonially in a burning map of Scotland, in Edinburgh.
Working in the field of Fine Art as a Landscape Artist and in the Design field as co-owner of Byrne Atelier, my creative work was diverse, and I had the opportunity to work on filmed advertisement campaigns as a storyboard artist, to Working with a Whisky firm, where I was a key part in the company rebrand that now exports vast amounts of whisky and Gin to Southeast Asia and the USA.
As a Landscape Artist, I have managed to successfully develop my professional practice over a number of years, forging Strong connections within industry, both academically and commercially. This has enabled me to exhibit Globally, from London, Milan, Dublin and most recently New York and has seen my work featured in publications such as British Vogue and Tatler Magazine.
Out with this,I have found myself working in the field of Radio Scheduling, with one of Europe’s leading Media Outlets with the responsibility of the advertisement distribution as a Scheduling Executive. Through detailed analysis of Post Advertisement Campaign information and providing effective relationship management to clients through a User Centred approach to the digital design.
