I’m a first year university student, and I believe that my experience in school would help me to assist younger students.

In the past, I have volunteered at my secondary school as a mentor for younger students, helping them to read and building their confidence. I have also volunteered at my local library creating games and crafts for children, so I believe that I have the necessary experience to take my interest in teaching further by becoming a tutor. I will teach by building the trust of my students and creating a safe environment in which they can voice any concerns or fears they have about their chosen subjects. After this, I would attempt to come up with a viable solution for their problems by breaking the subject down into smaller, more digestible ideas.
