I believe that the best way to learn a language is by first understanding it’s structure and sound. I like my students to know how to correctly form sentences orally before obtaining the perfect spelling skills. Spanish is very melodic and is therefore easy to learn when approached correctly, however that will be my job. I believe that it is important to learn from 50-100 words weekly, depending on the age, motivation and capabilities of the person. It might seem like too little or too many, but it is a rate at which the individual is not likely to get overwhelmed easily. I teach online to people of all ages and adapt the format to each individual according to their goal.
