Advert description
Simone infuses a sense of joy and fun in every lesson. She is a qualified teacher with experience and skills in musical theatre, opera, jazz, and folk music. She has worked with individuals, choirs, schools, and community programs with people of all ages, abilities, and special needs.
Singing has always been an innate part of Simone's life. At eight years old, she started playing the piano, and at 14, she began studying voice in earnest and fell in love with the stage. Inspired to become a performer, she went to university, where she studied both theatre and singing.
She has garnered many skills and techniques in vocal production, singing, and general musicianship through extensive studio training. Although she intended to pursue a professional career as an opera singer and enjoyed performing, she fell in love with teaching. Since that time, she has taught all age ranges and abilities in voice (both solo performers and choral groups) and beginners and intermediate piano. Additionally, she continues to further her education through private lessons and workshops. She still dabbles on the stage in her community and schools she has worked in.
Her fascination with teaching has only increased over the years, and she is always looking for inspiration, tools, and projects that will encourage her students to go on the adventure of learning now and in the future. Furthermore, her musical education also includes music theory, music history, and piano at an intermediate level, and she has helped prepare students for examinations in piano and voice.
To Simone, to teach is to ignite students' innate curiosity, encourage them to ask questions, and discover the greatness they can be, and she finds it a joy to be a part of that. Teaching continues to be one of her most rewarding endeavors in life. She loves observing and contributing to the nurture and success of her students and watching them soar.
I teach in Forres, Nairn, Inverness, Drumnadrochit, and online.
