Tutor specialising in English, including EFL

I hold a CELTA teaching qualification, and have worked in education for over nine years. I have worked in a variety of roles, including: Academic Mentor, EFL Teacher, private tutor, alternative education provider and workshop facilitator. I am currently training to be an Art Therapist part-time, and I am looking for additional tuition work to support this venture. I am based in Forest Hill, South East London.

I have worked with students of all ages, including adults. I specialise in English, and other 11+ subjects (Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning). Previous students have been accepted into St Dunstan’s, Allyens, Sydenham, JAGS, Emmanuel, Dulwich College and Dulwich Prep. I also have experience working with students with SEN, including ADHD, BESD, Autism, dyslexia, mild learning difficulties, and issues with anxiety and trauma.

My main tuition work currently involves tutoring primary students in English and 11+ entrance exams. However, I also tutor GCSE English Language and English Literature. As my BA is in English Literature, I am able to tutor both A-level and university students in this subject.

I have taught both adults and children EFL, in small groups and big classes. I obtained my CELTA from International House London, and have taught at Apollo English in Haiphong in Vietnam, and at Eurolingua in Cordoba in Spain. In London, I have taught at Wimbledon School of English, Escape Network, St George International School of English, ALPADIA, and King's Education.
