Maths teacher teaches KS3 GCSE and A level

Advert description
I am actually a retired piano teacher. I studied some maths at Cambridge as a young man and returned to my maths studies in 1998 through the Open University. I now have an Open BA in Maths and Computing, a BSc. in Maths and Computing Sciences, an MSc. in Mathematics and a Graduate Diploma in Maths Education. In 2018 I completed my PGCE in Post Compulsory Mathematics with Numeracy at University College London. Here I enjoyed working with GCSE, A level and some learners doing a foundation course at university. I also worked with some grownups returning to mathematics later in life. Some of these had special educational needs.
In the summer of 2019, I attended a 4- day course entitled 'New to teaching A level mathematics' in York. Since April 2021 I have been tutoring mathematics online as part of the NTP (National Tutoring Programme). Most of this has been working in English at KS3 and KS4, but some has been at KS2 (Primary level). I particularly enjoy accompanying learners as they progress from Foundation to Higher.
Recently I have been able to gain further experience supporting students preparing for GCSE Foundation and Higher online and to extend this experience to work with A Level students. These students are also preparing themselves for their exam.
I firmly believe that education holds the key to Inclusion, Equality and Diversity.
Nick in a nutshell
In the first year of my PGCE my placement was teaching adults at level 1 as one of four in a trainee group at an inner London FE college. In my second year I had two placements, the first at level 1, GCSE Foundation and Higher. The second placement was at AS and A level with some support and observation in a maths foundation course for engineering students.

At the first placement of my second year my role in an evening class for adults was to stretch and challenge a small group who were considered good enough to attempt the GCSE higher paper.
