I have over a decade of experience teaching mathematics and physics at various levels, including GCSE, A-level, and AP courses. My teaching career spans multiple countries and institutions, allowing me to develop a diverse and adaptable approach to education. I specialise in subjects such as Pure Mathematics (P1, P2, P3), Probability and Statistics (S1), Mechanics, and Physics, helping students achieve academic success and develop confidence in their abilities. During my five years as a Mathematics and Physics teacher at Suzhou Foreign Language School in China, I honed my skills in classroom management, curriculum development, and exam preparation. I focused on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment where students could explore complex topics and achieve their goals. In addition to my classroom experience, I have worked as a remote freelancer since 2013, providing personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students worldwide. This has enhanced my ability to tailor lessons to individual learning styles and needs. My academic background includes a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of Liverpool, where I conducted advanced research and developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This research experience has enriched my teaching by enabling me to explain mathematical and physical concepts in practical, real-world contexts. Currently, as a Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, I continue to expand my expertise, bridging the gap between academic research and teaching.
