Advert description
I have recently completed my PhD in Art History and Visual Culture at the University of Exeter, and am keen to explore new ways that I can put the skills I have acquired into good use, and tutoring seems like an excellent opportunity.
I am an Associate Teaching Fellow of Higher Education, and have taught on 3 undergraduate Art History modules at Exeter. This has equipped me with 2 years’ experience of preparing and delivering seminars, both in-person and online, and of setting and assessing work. My previous degrees were also in Art History at the universities of Warwick and Cambridge, and I would feel confident in teaching the subject across a wide chronological range – though my research specialism is Italian Renaissance art, architecture and public space.
Additionally, I am an artist – I have a diploma in Art and Design and have led creative projects and workshops in my local community – most notably as part of my artist’s residency at St Nicholas’ Priory in Exeter. As such, I feel confident in teaching practical art.
I am also happy to provide guidance on essay-writing for students at college level or above.
Expect visual-based learning.
