I like to use whatever format helps my students learn best! For example, if they are visual learners, I would mainly use PowerPoints and draw visuals on the slides to help further their understanding. Otherwise, anything from worksheets to simple notes works as well! If the student has a textbook or any particular material from school, that would be great and I can use that to help with particular lessons or topics as it relates to their school curriculum. I took AP (Advanced Placement) courses in biology, English, chemistry, environmental sciences, world history, and statistics throughout high school and am now studying Honors Biological Sciences at the University of Edinburgh as a second-year student. For younger learners or anyone with a smaller attention span, keeping the sessions engaging is very important to me! I am open to working with anyone with learning disabilities or with neurodivergence! I don't have particular experience with students with learning disabilities or neurodivergence but am more than willing to adapt and provide students with anything they need! I have tutored students in the past in mathematics, general basic sciences, and English both through online platforms such as Zoom and Skype as well as in person. I also have taught piano for several years to children ranging from ages 4-13 and, as a result, have lots of experience with teaching children of all ages. I'm very patient and willing to take it slow or keep the pace up and keep my students stimulated, whatever their needs may be.
