I am a Scottish native speaker of English. Areas in which I can help learners of English include grammar and academic writing

I have a joint-honours degree in Linguistics & English language and Russian Studies from the University of Edinburgh. I have previous experience with tutoring high-school students writing critical and reflective English essays, as well as in helping undergraduate students grasp the course content during first and second year. Having written multiple dissertations myself, both in my native language and a foreign language, I have experience with the process of writing challenging academic papers and how to achieve top marks with these. In addition, my degree has allowed me to study the workings of the English language and the challenges learners of English as a second language can face, specifically with regards to complex grammatical structures, irregularities, and weird and wonderful idioms!
