Advert description
I am going into the final year of my undergraduate degree in Spanish and Politics at the University of Edinburgh. I am a native French speaker from Paris, and I have been tutoring for over 6 years in both French and English.
After graduating from high school, I moved to the UK to work for one year as a French assistant at Wellington College, a boarding school near Reading. There, I was teaching iGCSE students and assisting teachers with A-Levels, IB and Year 10 pupils. My background in education, as well as my experience working as a tutor and my degree studying a modern language all make me a qualified person for the position.
My approach to tutoring in 'one size does not fit all': I pay close attention to every student's specific needs, and work accordingly. Usually, I like to incorporate grammar at the beginning of a lesson, and then apply the concepts in playful activities that are relevant to the student. Depending on the student's level and aspirations, I also like to include news topics relevant to current situations in France or in specific fields (ie: science, culture, politics, trends...).
My aim is to make French lessons a nice and safe environment, where students feel comfortable learning, making mistakes and asking questions in order to make progress, all the while having a good and stressless time!
