I give private tutor lessons for biology students specialising in learning disabilities and other struggling students

My name is Lyra and I have recently completed my BSc honours degree in Biological Sciences specialising in Immunology from The University of Edinburgh.
I love all biology whether that be in humans, animals or plants and I can't wait to get to know my new students and work hard to learn together! I have experience in teaching students with dyslexia and ADHD and welcome any new students who might be struggling due to a learning disability.

I understand that every student is different and strive to personalise my way of teaching to each individual. I have an understanding of how to pass exams and the format of the SQA system and believe teaching students how to set exams is just as important as the content of them. I would like to emphasise to students that tutoring should not be a dreaded event and that we will have fun throughout our lessons and learn as a team.
