Online Psychology Tutor - Part Time

I trust you are well.

Thank you for the opportunity to apply for the position of Online Psychology Tutor - Part Time.

I currently have my own Psychology practice in South Africa (face to face and remote) and am contracted as a freelancer for three other global companies, remotely. I thus manage my own caseload. However, my husband has received a job offer from Athora, Dublin in an IT management position and will be taking up the role with a critical skills visa in a few weeks, which will afford me a G1 stamp work permit. Therefore, I will no longer be allowed to practice in my own capacity in Ireland. I have already applied for the PSI registration. I would therefore need to work for an Irish company, which is my reason for applying with you.

I have outlined the requirements and how I meet them on a point by point basis with the blue text being the requirements and my responses in black. Some requirements have been combined:

A teacher with strong communication and teaching skills to be able to help students understand and comprehend the knowledge imparted in the subject.
I have been a Psychology lecturer at the University of KwaZulu-Natal for 10 years.
English is my native language and I did achieve an A grade for this in secondary school, was an English Editor for 2 years and an online English teacher for 4 years. I therefore believe that I will be an effective and efficient communicator, both verbally and in written form for clients and colleagues.

As an experienced psychologist providing in-person and online therapy globally and an ex-lecturer of Counselling, Clinical and Health Psychology for a decade, I have developed an integrated therapeutic approach which focuses on holism and is human-centered in nature. This includes Solution Focused Brief Therapy. My experience with assisting clients with diverse mental health challenges and general life challenges has enabled me to assess, empathically listen and guide clients through a diversity of challenges. My clients are aged 12 years old – adults.
