Advert description
A recent graduate from Durham University in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, I have three years of experience in tutoring Math at primary and secondary levels. My students have gone from failing to passing after a few months of lessons with me! I am patient and motivating.
I will source for the appropriate course materials after identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the student, and also identifying the best learning style that suits the student, and adjust accordingly. I believe each student has unlimited potential.
My method is simple, letting the student understand concepts and enjoy learning and motivating them by being positive and encouraging. I am also very strict when I need to be.
For Math, my approach is to let students understand the Mathematical concept/formulae first by breaking down complex concepts into bite sized pieces of information for them to understand. I will show them the basic questions first step by step, and then let them do some on their own. Next, I will challenge them with harder questions. Then, I will do practice papers with them, showing them how the concepts are applied.
