Science tutor for a level and gcse science

I am an individual who has a passion for teaching and has displayed this over the
past recent years. i have volunteered at a local mosque aswell as doing some
online one to one tutoring. i believe this has not just benefited the students but
also has benefitted me as i have been able to expand my knowledge and skills.
The start was hard as i lacked experience but as time passed i was able to
enhance my skills which allowed me to gain greater control over the classroom
environment. These skills are a handful but i want to point out the main and most
important ones. The first being communication skills, i was able to effectively
communicate the content of the lesson to the pupils aswell as explain tasks, this
also involved adaptability as all the students were unique and required me to
explain the tasks in a different way in which they understood. Adaptability was a
skill which I lacked at the start, and this was brought to my attention when a child
was not making any progress. Listening to his concerns i was able to pick up that
i had to change my teaching style to meet his needs. This brings me onto my
second skill which is a vital part of communication and is your listening skills. i
was able to effectively listen to the concerns which gave me a better
understanding of each pupil and gave me an insight into the strengths and
weakness of each pupil. Being an attentive listener allows you to come up with
the best solutions for each situation, i learnt that a lot of people need someone
who they can talk to about their concerns whilst volunteering at my local hospital
