Math Tutor for Middle/High School (Pre-Algebra & Algebra)

I was a CO state certified classroom Math teacher for 15-years (-), and taught 6th-8th grade students Pre-Algebra and Algebra content/standards. I use a variety of learning strategies that involve getting to know the student's learning strengths and growing points, while teaching them strategies to learn new concepts. I help guide the student's growth of knowledge through practice, repetition, and connection to prior concepts as well as where those tools and understandings may be used in future courses or jobs. I enjoy learning about students, making the learning process fun, and showing the student that struggling through the learning process can be a positive thing which shows strength in character and in accomplishing what didn't seem possible.
