Advert description
I am a qualified yoga teacher. I have a certificate of 200-hour training that is internationally recognised by Yoga Alliance. I teach hatha yoga but frequently incorporate other styles of yoga into my teaching. I currently teach a class of 26 people, in person, but am used to teaching private classes as well as online classes as part of my teacher training.
I believe that yoga should not just be taught but should be understood which is why I pride myself on my ability to explain poses and why we are doing them in a class. I noticed that so many yoga teachers were just telling their pupils what to do and there was no explanation as to why the pose is important.
My classes have multiple themes; some are based on particular body parts while some are more abstract such as yoga to relieve built up tension and anxiety.
I believe that yoga is for everyone and am used to tailoring classes to fit a particular person's level. There is no pressure to achieve anything in my classes; I will never push my pupils into doing something that they do not feel comfortable doing. I do make sure, however, that my pupils are achieving what they want to achieve. I place particular emphasis on flexibility but also incorporate strength, balance, breathwork and mediation. My classes are usually mid-paced (not too fast or slow) but am capable of tailoring this to fit my pupils' needs.
I hope that sounds good!
