I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and taught in public and private schools in the US and in Kenya. I love applying a variety of problem-solving approaches to difficult problems, and encouraging a student's preferred way of tackling problems. It could be guessing-and-checking, looking for a pattern or solving a simpler problem. After putting in a little effort, the solution will be rewarding, and the skills you build will be yours for life.

After a decade of hearing the question "When are we going to use this?" I discovered the answer: computer programming. I've written three books on using Python programming to explore math topics and to create beautiful, mathematical art.
