Advert description
My name is Naomi and I am a student at the University of Cambridge studying Education with policy and international development. I have been working with students and young people as a Level 2 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Coach for 5 years and now want to help give others the support with their education that I lacked in the past. I am a student ambassador for the University of Cambridge and have worked with children from ages 5-18 as a mentor and advisor. I understand that students want to learn in an engaging but productive manner where they feel like they have achieved something at the end of the class. I am proficient in tutoring A-level psychology, sociology and PE but have also led sessions in GCSE maths, English and triple sciences. The A-level exam boards I use is AQA however I have adapted the content I teach for other exam boards in the past. The GCSE exam boards I use for English language and literature are AQA and for all other GCSE subjects are Edexcel. However as I said above, the content can be easily adapted. The sessions I deliver are not pressurized in any way and simply focus on the student feeling as if they are in a better position with their learning than they were before the class. I am a straight A* student and have many techniques which have allowed me to achieve these grades which I will share in the sessions. I tend to use a 5 part method by going over the content, checking for understanding, modeling an exam question, individual exam practice then reviewing the content in a later session. Overall, I love to learn and want others to experience that same enthusiasm for their education!
