Advert description
I am an artist and arts facilitator working primarily in mixed media, allowing for a broad knowledge of technical skills and art mediums. I teach art classes for both children at all academic levels (including SEND) and adults, helping them explore a vast range of mediums and enhance their skills. I offer one-to-one and group sessions both online and in person. Having graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts, I have experience into what educational programs look for in interviews, personal statements and portfolios.
My focus is on enhancing my clients’ knowledge and skills to achieve their objectives. I devise a customised plan for each student or group before beginning the sessions to accommodate their individual skills and interests and encourage them to overcome challenges in order to build confidence. I use a variety of methods to accommodate different learning styles, taking into consideration their distinctive approach in grasping new skills.
For groups, I tailor programmes or individual sessions pertaining to the groups particular requirements. For students, instructing according to exam boards' specifications and assessment objectives helps me guide students towards excellence in their chosen subject area. By analysing students' work closely, I am able to offer guidance and encouragement accordingly. The general areas I cover include:
GCSE & A Level lessons:
- Written content (essays and annotation)
- Sketchbook development
- Improvements on visual content (technical skill and presentation)
Preparation for Art Foundation, BA and MFA Fine Art courses:
- Portfolio and interview preparation
- Knowledge of Art and Design courses
