Advert description
I am Senthil, an Indian expat living in London. I hold a Ph.D. in Biology with a specialization in genetics and neurobiology. I am currently a research scientist at Imperial College London.
I teach students aged 10 to 22 in subjects like Basic Biology, Genetics, English and Tamil. Apart from teaching students I also volunteer for science outreach workshops to public and students. I tailor my teaching methods to suit each student's learning style, and this has been especially effective in helping students with special needs.
I studied Plant Biology during my bachelors and then did my research training in neurobiology. At university, I have taught students both theory and practical sections in Introductory Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics and Neurobiology. This broad education and experience have provided me with a unique set of skills and perspective that I bring to my teaching. I understand the pressure to excel in science, and my experience to offer emotional and academic support to my students. My goal is to instill curiosity, problem solving attitude and a love for learning in all of my students.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy nature, reading, and volunteering. With a strong foundation in both theoretical and experimental settings, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.
