TESOL tutor providing lessons to children of all ages

I am Hsiang Ting Wang, a highly qualified and experienced teacher with a passion for teaching and language learning. I have a MA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and Translation Studies from Aston University, Birmingham, UK, where I gained extensive knowledge in English language teaching, including the Theory and Practice of English Language Teaching.

My undergraduate studies were in Leisure Regimen Management, with a minor in Applied English, at Tainan University of Technology in Taiwan. During my time there, I studied a variety of English language modules, including Thematic Listening and Speaking Practice, English Listening Training, and Professional English Reading. I also had the opportunity to study Spanish and Western Literature, which helped broaden my understanding of different cultures and languages.

In terms of work experience, I have been teaching Mandarin at AmazingTalker since July 2022, where I teach children's conversation and reading, as well as adult non-native Chinese speakers using HSK or TOCFL materials. I am also a Chinese Teacher at Dragons Teaching since April 2023, where I prepare and deliver online Chinese lessons to primary school students and help them learn the Chinese language and culture effectively. I provide feedback to students on their language performance and offer guidance and support to help them improve their language skills. I make sure that the learning environment is safe, supportive, and positive towards the Chinese language and culture.

In addition, I work as a Cover Supervisor at PK education since September 2022, where I help pupils with their learning, supervise group activities, and ensure classrooms are safe and tidy. I supervise pupils whilst they carry out work that has been prepared by a teacher, manage behavior in the class, and build rapport with students. I also round up the completed work after the lesson and make sure it is safely returned to the right person in school.

Overall, my education and work experience have given me a diverse skill set that allows me to effectively teach and support students of different ages and backgrounds.
