PhD Student interested in tutoring English Writing, Editing, Proofreading / Politics, International Affairs, History

I'm interested in becoming a remote part-time tutor. I'm seeking a position lasting 10 hours a week. My teaching approach is to ascertain what the student has questions about - and/or is struggling with. I will then develop a tutoring session around his/her needs and objectives.

I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Politics and International Studies. I also have three-Masters degrees in Film/Television, Chinese Politics, and Diplomatic Studies. I'm interested in tutoring a combination of politics, international affairs, or English with an emphasis on writing, editing, and proofreading.

Tutoring is of interest since a component of the issue entails empathising with the struggles of English learners' experience. I've lived in six-countries. I can appreciate and understand the challenges facing non-English speakers in the pursuit (having experienced the arduousness of attempting to learn different languages myself). A key advantage I offer is I've published over 70 articles and written two-dissertations. I have a strong understanding of the issues facing students in the writing process. I additionally have insights into how to write/edit for different audiences.
