Advert description
I have a BA (Hons) in History from UCL, graduating this summer.
I achieved 3 A*s at A-level in Mathematics, History and Economics.
I achieved 10 A*s at GCSE: Mathematics (9), English Language (A*), English Literature (A*), History (A*), Geography (A*), French (A*), German (A*), Biology (A*), Chemistry (A*), Physics (A*).
I am a dedicated individual eager to teach others. Having been lucky to have had an excellent education from a young age, I have taken on various roles over the past several years to improve the educational experience of others: I recognise how transformative strong educational resources can be for those of all ages. During my A-level years, I participated in my school’s Reading Partner Programme, in which I travelled to a local primary school each week – mainly comprising pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds – to help progress their reading skills. It opened my eyes to the importance of making reading open to all and how it can expand one’s horizon even at such a young age. Likewise, as a member of my university's-Staff-Student Consultative Committee, I worked to better the educational experience of over 240 first-year undergraduates by supporting my department with overcoming various problems associated with online learning. Meanwhile, as a Transition Mentor at my university – in which I supported first-year undergraduates with learning at university compared to school – I imparted my experience and knowledge to help students to make the most of their modules, by, for instance, offering them tips on how to read in a focused and efficient manner.
