GCSE maths all abilities. Age 11-16 years

I am an experienced tutor, GCSE examiner and teacher of Maths in a Secondary school. I have gained experience in teaching GCSE Edexcel curriculum. I Provide targeted provision to ensure knowledge is embedded. I adapt teaching method according to students needs. I am also a reliable, honest and trustworthy. I can provide extra resources, if needed, for further practice and am a good listener. I developed and implemented effective lesson plans for range of abilities. I am keen to help students improve their grades and have a caring approach and help students who lack confidence. Sessions are productive and in line with your schools scheme of learning. I can work with the student in setting up a study plan for exam purpose. I also give regular feedback to parents so they understand what content requires development. I can work on a one to one basis or in a small group. Sessions start with introduction of topics and then and gradually moving on to difficult questions. We can also aim to attempt exam style questions, where possible. I ensure that students are engaged in the sessions: this is through effective questioning. I often ask students to do a quick recap on what they have learnt as a plenary. I also understand what teaching strategies to adapt to cater for SEND.
