Advert description
As a dedicated GCSE English tutor, my diverse background in education, psychology, and physiotherapy has shaped my unique teaching approach. During my time as an English Language Teacher at St Andrew's College Language School, I guided students from intermediate to advanced levels. I employed innovative methods, integrating multimedia materials and real-world simulations, catering to diverse learning styles. As a physiotherapist at Saint Hardayal Educational & Orphans Welfare Society and the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre, I conducted counseling sessions infused with Therapeutic Optimism principles, fostering trust and empathy with clients.
Transitioning to the role of a Special Educational Needs Teacher at Prayas Juvenile Aid Centre, I honed my skills in tailoring educational approaches. In this setting, I crafted engaging lesson plans and utilized effective behavior management techniques for emotionally disturbed students. My expertise extended to children with special needs, where I created a supportive environment conducive to learning. Currently pursuing an MSc in Psychology at the University of Essex, I serve as a student representative, actively contributing to the enhancement of the student experience.
My academic journey is complemented by practical skills, including proficiency in data entry and expertise in Microsoft Office applications. Additionally, my certification in Dynamic Taping Level 1 underscores my commitment to continuous learning. As a GCSE English tutor, my mission extends beyond teaching; I aim to inspire students to explore the complexities of the English language and its literary wonders. I foster an environment where confidence flourishes, creativity is nurtured, and academic excellence becomes attainable.
