Advert description
I have been tutoring and teaching English (at all levels) for over six years. I always tailor my comprehensive lesson plans and adjust my teaching style to the needs and interests of my students. I have provided effective and inspiring tuition to learners of all levels, different age ranges and cultural backgrounds. I speak a few languages such as Russian, Romanian, Ukrainian and English. Being a multilingual teacher enables me to speak and collaborate with students from various cultural backgrounds and understand their concerns when improving or learning English.
I earned a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Essex in 2018. While conducting my doctoral research, I worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Essex. I was teaching 2 core undergraduate modules in the department of Literature, Film and Theatre Studies at the University of Essex. I was responsible for delivering sessions in person, aiming to achieve a high level of student engagement and effective learning through following pedagogic good practice. I also worked as Maths and English Tutor providing bespoke and high-quality tuition in maths and English to students individually as well as to groups of 6 children – spanning all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
I possess a QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) qualification that enables me to teach in maintained primary, secondary and special schools in England. I have also gained professional recognition as Fellows of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) through the University of Essex CADENZA programme, which is designed to foster teaching excellence in all staff who teach and support learning.
I am friendly and optimistic but at the same time serious and diligent encouraging my students to work hard. I always provide students with necessary feedback, constructive criticism, encouragement, and support and keen on discussing their progress with their parents.
