English language and literature. Read better and write better

My background in is books, journalism and broadcasting. I have taught English language in China, and have experience in training in other fields. I have been a reviewer and interviewer for LBC Radio, and a print reviewer for newspapers and online magazines. I presently host an online author interview podcast.
My approach will be to work with a student, reading a text to understand it and analyse it, and then to work on the student's response. I can work on your essays and written responses to improve your prose and your apprehension of the text in question.
I also have a wide and deep understanding of history, politics and economics, which I can help you understand. My university degree was a BA(Econ) in Government from the University of Manchester.
