English as a foreign language teacher with six years experience

Hello! My name is Bronte and I'm a 28 year old woman from Northern Ireland. I spent six years living and teaching in China where I absolutely fell in love with teaching English to my students and meeting people from around the world. I'm a patient, compassionate and creative teacher who is excited to be a part of your learning journey! I spent six years teaching a mixed variety of students in China. I started off in a rural college where I taught lecture style but tried to make it fun for my teenage students by talking about my culture, playing American TV shows, listening to English music or making plays. From there, I moved into teaching younger students from as young as 18 months old to teenagers. I have a real passion for teaching children as I love seeing their confidence grow and having fun while learning. I love playing educational games in the classroom to engage young learners and tailoring my classes to the needs and interests of my learners. I've often been complimented on my patience, kindness and creativity in the classroom and I pride myself on these qualities as a teacher. I have many years experience including online teaching due to the COVID pandemic.
