Job Functions • Meeting with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and any concerns they may have • Conducting classroom activities such as science experiments or lessons on topics such as biology and nutrition, physics • • Develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents • • Create activities that are fun and educational for the children • • Collaborate with other teachers to ensure that the school fosters an environment that is inviting and nurturing for every child • • Deliver reports on potential concerns about students as to management as needed • • Manage day-to-day classroom activities, including structured lessons, free play, toilet breaks, lunch time and rest time for students • Developing lesson plans that align with state standards and are age appropriate • Preparing students for state exams by providing them with test preparation materials such as study guides and practice tests • Assisting students with homework when needed
