Teaching methods and techniques always depend on students'age, starting level and goals. If the student's priority is conversational Russian, i can use storytelling, building and developing dialogues with the student involving new vocab and collocations. If the student's goal is formal exam, i would certainly focus on strenthening the writing, listening, reading and speaking skills along with developing new diverse vocab and excersices with it. If the student plans moving to Russia and would like to know more about the country, its regions and cultural aspects, then i would use materials accordingly, helping the student to fulfill his primery needs.
